[LUNA] LVM drive portability

Needing some understanding better than my own on this.  I need to 
understand how portable the drives within an logical volume (LVM) are.  
I have two drives within an LVM in a box that is no longer bootable 
(motherboard popped).  These are IDE drives.

If I buy / build a new machine with SATA I would need to add an IDE 
controller to attach these two drives.  Would I be able to view and 
access the LVM?
