[LUNA] Ubuntu upgrade

I did manage to get in and do some edits and install some packages.
 However, it was a no go I just reinstalled.  Did not really loose
anything I was backing up my home directory.  I did loose some e-mail
though.  Got to remember to run the backup for that more often.
