[LUNA] Ubuntu upgrade

 Well I upgraded my laptop to 16.04.  However, it said it upgraded with errors.  Now my system will just boot to the screen that says Ubuntu with the dots underneath. It just stays at that screen. I waited over an hour and no luck.  If I hit the power button the screen goes away and I see that it is stopping services.  Is there a way that I can boot into my system.  I thought if I could get it to boot to a prompt I might could do apt-get upgrade and that might fix things.
