[LUNA] autofs & DHCP issues

I have 2 newly upgraded CentOS 5.8 (upgraded from ancient fedora, FC7)
machines on a LAN. Both are configured to use DHCP from an AT&T DSL
modem which is the DHCP server for the LAN. Everything works AOK, web
access is fine, machines can ping/ssh to & fro AOK. The only problem is
trying to use autofs to access exported drives between the 2 machines.
Before the upgrade, we used static LAN addressing, w/ /etc/hosts files
on all boxen, & autofs worked AOK for mounting exported disk space
between machines. With DHCP, it is nogo, with messages about can't find
the other machine named "name" to mount exported resource. Is autofs
supposed to work w/ DHCP ? If so, any clues :-) ? I poked around a bit
on Google, basically couldn't locate any good HOWTO's or info on whether
this is supposed to work or not. Any clues appreciated. TIA & have a
good one.

P.S. machines are elsewhere or I would have the exact lines from
messages about why the mount failed. I will try to get that ASAP :-/ ....
